  • Language and civics: Ley 346 sets no test; whether individual judges check Spanish is practice, not law.
  • Before the decree, the Supreme Court (Ni I Hsing, 2009) held the 2 years need not be under a formal residence permit; from memory, not re-read today.
  • Ley 346 asks for no renunciation of a former nationality; no official page stating dual citizenship outright was read.
