A 10-year renewable residence permit with the right to work, no minimum-stay requirement, and family reunification for spouse and children.

Who qualifies

The real-estate track requires property (or combined properties) worth at least BHD 130,000 (about $345,000) in a zone open to foreign ownership, reduced from BHD 200,000 in 2025.

What it takes.

Investment: About $345,000.
Time: 4–8 weeks once the property purchase is complete and the file is submitted through NPRA.
Cost: The BHD 130,000+ ($345,000+) property purchase plus registration and legal fees of roughly $5,000–10,000.
The hard part: Bahrain restricts foreign property ownership to designated zones, so the property must be checked for eligibility before purchase.

The Bahraini Citizenship Act 1963, art. 6, allows naturalisation after 25 consecutive years (15 for Arabs), with Arabic and registered property, at the King's discretion; shown as no realistic route. Not read from an official text today.
