Temporary residence for lawful employment

Temporary residence for the approved employment purpose, generally no more than one year; work authority and duration depend on the actual occupation and employer procedure.

Who qualifies

Employment must comply with Belarusian law. The government lists lawful labour activity as a temporary-residence ground, normally for no more than one year.

The 2026 employer notification procedure applies to occupations on the designated list; other occupations need their applicable work authorization checked with the migration authority. The employer submits contract notices online through E-Pasluga under the applicable procedure.

The applicant must contact the citizenship and migration unit at the intended place of temporary residence and provide the documents under administrative-procedure item 12.6.
