Who qualifies

Citizenship can be granted for a $1,000,000 deposit at the Central Bank of Jordan, or the purchase of $1,000,000 in Jordanian treasury bonds held for at least 6 years; a share-purchase route requires at least JD 1,500,000 (about $2,115,000) in new shares of a Jordanian company, held for at least 5 years and capped at 10% ownership of any one company.

An alternative project-based route allows citizenship for launching a new project with capital of JD 700,000 in Amman or JD 500,000 in other governorates that creates local jobs.

Investment: About $1,000,000.
Time: 6–12 months from application to citizenship decree, subject to the annual 500-applicant cap.
Cost: The qualifying investment ($1,000,000+ or JD 1,500,000+ in shares) plus legal and due-diligence fees of $20,000–40,000.
The hard part: Getting one of the limited annual slots, and keeping the qualifying investment locked in for the full holding period (5–6 years) without early exit.
