None structurally hard, but the visa is capped at 6 months with no stated renewal, so it is not a long-term base.

Time away
Ten years of continuous ordinary residence in Namibia on a permanent residence permit; time on temporary permits does not count.
Two passports
Usually not: new citizens are asked to give up their other citizenship.
  • Time on this program does not count toward permanent residence or citizenship; the family would need to switch to one that does.
  • Six months, not renewable; a new one can be sought 12 months after it ends. It is not a residence permit.
  • How many years before permanent residence can be applied for was not found in an official source; permanence is shown as none because the digital-nomad visa does not lead to it.
  • The Act asks for 'adequate knowledge of the responsibilities and privileges' of citizenship, but no formal civics test was found.
  • The Home Affairs ministry page (mha.gov.na) that states the ten-years-on-permanent-residence rule has a broken security certificate; the rule was confirmed against the Constitution (art. 4(5)) and the Act.
  • No official decision-time figure found.
