    First residence permit

    1 year, renewable for 1 year at a time.

Two passports
Usually not: new citizens are asked to give up their other citizenship.
  • The one-off SAR 800,000 tier is permanent from day one; the SAR 100,000-a-year tier runs one to five years at a time and is renewed. Neither leads to Saudi citizenship.
  • The Saudi Nationality System allows naturalisation after ten consecutive years on a regular residence permit, scored on a points system and at the state's discretion; grants to foreigners are rare, so it is shown as no realistic route. The Interior Ministry's English text (moi.gov.sa) could not be reached today.
  • Premium Residency (unlimited) is permanent residence bought outright, not an ordinary route, so the country has no years-based permanence here.
  • Dual citizenship: Saudi nationals need permission to hold another nationality, and naturalisation expects the old one to be given up; not re-read from the statute today.
  • There is no realistic route from residence to citizenship here; permanence is where this road ends.
