Employment under the issued local permit for the approved role and period; immigration entry and residence must be checked separately.

Who qualifies

The employer must show a real job and failed efforts to recruit a Turks and Caicos Islander, including required advertising and Employment Services contact where labour clearance applies.

What it takes.

Time: The government lists a 15-working-day work-permit service standard without labour clearance and 25 working days with it, after a complete application.
Cost: Published administration fee is at least US$150 or 10% of the permit fee, whichever is greater, plus labour-clearance and other applicable charges.
The hard part: Documenting Islander recruitment and assembling the employer's zone-specific file.
