These terms are the agreement between your family and Postern. Effective October 1, 2026.
Postern is software. It checks what your family may qualify for, orders records, fills in forms for you to sign, follows each application, keeps your papers current and keeps your plan to leave ready. It is not a law firm, and nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice.
Membership is for your whole family. Your first year is $900 for founding members and $1,200 otherwise. After that it renews at $399 a year, charged automatically on your renewal date through Stripe, until you cancel.
Cancel your renewal any time from Manage billing. Your membership runs to the end of the year you paid for, then stops renewing. Refunds: if you change your mind within 30 days of your first payment, we refund your membership in full. A renewal can be refunded within 14 days of the charge. Government and third-party fees you approved and we already paid on your behalf can’t be refunded by us.
If a renewal payment fails, your membership pauses until it goes through. Nothing in your book is lost.
Every application, signature, filing and payment is yours. Postern prepares them; you review, sign and approve them. Accounts you open to move money are in your own name with the provider, and only you can move money out of them.
Keep what you tell us true and current. An application built on wrong facts can be refused.
Government fees, records, apostilles, translations, notaries and shipping are extra and paid at cost. You see and approve each one before it’s spent.
Governments decide who becomes a citizen or resident, how long it takes and what they ask for. They change their laws, fees and processes, sometimes without notice. We can’t promise any outcome or timeline, and we’re not responsible for a government’s decision or delay, or for an outside provider’s service.
Bank accounts and cards depend on the provider and where you live, and aren’t available everywhere.
The person who sets up the family account is responsible for it and for who they invite. Everyone in the household sees the family record and the chat with Postern. Add a child or another adult only if you’re entitled to share their information with us. You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
You can download everything and delete your family’s account any time from Your account. Deleting cancels your membership that day, with no further charges. Privacy explains what’s deleted and what stays.
We may close an account that’s used for fraud or to deceive a government office. We’ll tell you why.
Postern is provided by PRIA Technologies, LLC, a Delaware company at 3200 Windy Hill Rd SE, Suite 920W, Atlanta, GA 30339. These terms are governed by Delaware law, and disputes are heard in the state or federal courts in Cobb County, Georgia, though you can always use small claims court where you live. Our liability: to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t responsible for decisions made by governments, banks or other outside organizations. If we change these terms, we’ll email members before the change takes effect.
