01Who qualifies

A child born abroad to a parent who is a Barbadian citizen by birth is a citizen of Barbados by descent.

Barbados' descent rule reaches only the child of a Barbados-born citizen; it does not extend to a grandchild or great-grandchild, so a grandparent's citizenship alone does not carry down to you.

Live and work remotely in Barbados for a year, with a spouse or partner and dependants, while working for people or businesses outside Barbados.
A Barbados employer can sponsor a foreign employee for work lasting up to eleven months.
A Barbados employer can sponsor a foreign worker for up to three years after showing that a willing and capable local worker is unavailable.
A foreign entrepreneur establishing a Barbados business can apply through the long-term work-permit process with investment and company documents.
